Priority Express is a leading, independent courier firm offering a full range of same day, overnight & international delivery services. We're also part of the UK's largest next day parcel delivery network, APC Overnight.
Due to continued expansion, we currently have a vacancies for additional Warehouse Operatives, working from 02:00 am to 10:00 am Tuesday to Saturday. The successful candidates will assist the operations team to unload our inbound trunk vehicles from the National sort Centre, and will be responsible for the safe and secure handling and scanning of all inbound parcels and freight.
You would then work as part of a team to sort all of the inbound parcels into driver routes, and then ensure all drivers load their runs efficiently and accurately, all within specified time limits. You'll be an important part of our team, helping to ensure we provide our customers and other depots within our network with a service which is reliable and efficient.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the parcels industry, however full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with the unloading of trunk vehicles
- Scanning and sorting all inbound freight into driver routes
- Assisting drivers to check their routes and load vans
- Ensuring that all deadlines are met and that goods are handled securely
- Proactively keeping the depot team informed of any delays or problems
- Working with the depot team to maintain a reliable, efficient service
